Lindy Moake RN, MSN, PCCNP is a pediatric critical care who graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2004. She is a board certified Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (AC-PNP). She has over 34 years’ experience in Pediatric Nursing. She has focused her passion on children with congenital or acquired cardiac defects or disease. She has had a variety of roles from bedside nurse, cardiac catheterization laboratory nurse to advanced practice nurse and now is an advanced practice nurse manager within the Heart Center at Children’s Health, Children’s Medical Center of Dallas. In 2014 she was awarded the Advance Practice Service award for Education and Advocacy. She is president of the Greater Texas NAPNAP chapter and is also lead faculty of the Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program at The University of Texas at Arlington, a position she has held for over 10 years. Her classes include Pediatric Invasive Skills, Acute Care of the Pediatric Patient, Complex Care of the Pediatric Patient and Acute Care Pediatric Practicum. Over the years she has developed a database of Acute Care PNP board exam questions, answers and rationale. Her dedication to the education and success of her students includes live offerings of this review to her graduating students twice a year. She also tutors students from other ACPNP programs who have not been successful with their ACPNP boards. She has been successful in this venture, seeing 100% of these students who reviewed her materials, pass their ACPNP board exam.
